EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE

Our Kindergarten, which forms part of our purpose-built Pre-Prep Faculty, consists of two spacious classrooms and a dedicated outdoor play area situated at the foot of the Castle. It has a vibrant, stimulating and supportive atmosphere in which children are encouraged to question, explore and to learn about themselves, others, and the world around them.

FOSTERING A LIFELONG LOVE OF LEARNING

From Kindergarten onwards, our aim is to develop happy and independent children who thrive in an environment that is caring, fun and filled with new and stimulating experiences. Each day is packed with purposeful play and the thrill of discovering new things, and we respond to the children’s enthusiasm by tailoring our approach to suit their needs.

Benefits of attending Kindergarten at St George’s School Windsor Castle include:

  • Access to the school’s extensive facilities, including swimming lessons in our heated indoor pool and nature walks in the private grounds of Windsor Castle
  • Rich learning opportunities, which in recent years have included a visiting farm, ‘Story Bus’, weekly French and PE lessons and trips to the castle and further afield
  • Care provided by nurturing staff with Qualified Teacher Status, in ratios exceeding government requirements
  • Priority access and a smooth transition to a place in Reception (which is otherwise often operating a waiting list)

WHAT OTHERS SAY

Teaching in the EYFS is of a very high standard and, in Kindergarten, often inspirational.

It fills us with joy to leave him smiling in the mornings and not have to worry about him all day. I couldn’t have imagined a better start to his educational journey.
