Pupils, parents and staff climbed the 100 steps to gather in St George’s Chapel for an Armistice Service which included some outstanding singing by the Chamber Choir. Following the service the choir led the congregation down the 100 steps while a lone piper played ‘The Flowers of the Forest’. An Act of Remembrance followed on the Head Master’s Lawn where the Year 7 and 8 Choristers read the St George’s Roll of Honour, thanking all St George’s pupils who lost their lives as a result of conflict. A wreath was laid by two children from the Pre-Prep. It was a very poignant occasion.
