Our Chamber Choir has just returned from an action-packed five day tour of Kraków, which started with singing Mass at the Arka Pana Church in front of a congregation of 700 people. The following day they took part in a workshop at a local school with their choir, joining them in a performance of ‘Bungalow’ and ‘Sing’ at the end of a very enjoyable morning. In the afternoon they visited the stunning Wieliczka Salt Mine, a highlight of the trip. Other sights visited included the Wawel Royal Castle where they learnt about the legend of Smok Wawelski, the dragon. The Choir later gave an evening concert at St Katherine’s Church and on their last day in Poland they sang a final Mass at The Sanctuary of Our Lord’s Mercy, a very large, modern church which had an echo of 9 seconds!
