This weekend a group of 70 St George’s pupils were invited to stand within the grounds of Windsor Castle to listen to the wedding ceremony of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. We were delighted to be among the crowds watching the guests arrive and soaking up the atmosphere of what was a very special day in Windsor.
Many photographs were taken and we were amazed to see Prince Harry and Prince William as they walked along the pathway before entering the Chapel. As we listened intently to the ceremony, we were very proud to hear our Choristers sing.
Afterwards we waved our flags (and took many more photographs!) of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they left the Chapel in the horse and carriage on their way to the Long Walk. Some pupils were lucky enough to be interviewed by Ore Oduba. Take a look at the BBC programme on iPlayer here:

We would like to thank the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for allowing us to be part of their very special day. Decca records have already published an official album of the Royal Wedding which includes the songs sung by our Choristers. Please see links below:
Thomas Tallis: If ye love me
John Rutter: The Lord Bless You and Keep You
Do share with friends and family, it would be wonderful to see their fantastic efforts reflected in the album charts!
