This was the first time that children in the Early Years and Year 1 entered competitions at the Royal Windsor Show. The Early Years made a “Happy Birthday Your Majesty” card using potatoes they had grown themselves to print faces, bricks and flowers. Year 1 made a story board and compiled a recipe book featuring their favourite recipes entitled ‘A Dish Fit for the Queen’. The children also made a castle-shaped planter with edible plants and royal-inspired details. The results were 1st place and a trophy for the best entry for the edible planter, 1st place for the potato printed card, and 2nd place for the story board. Well done to all the staff and children who took part in making these wonderful exhibits!
